I've been away setting intentions and sorting things out these past few weeks for the new year, for this page and for myself.
Long story short ... I'm going in on This Jessa Lewis being my official side hustle!! [TODAY IS MY FIRST OFFICIAL HUSTLE DAY!]
When I started blogging again (off the back of several random personal blogs from years gone past) toward the end of last year, it was purely as a creative outlet for myself. I was and am going through a journey of self growth, discovering, healing and rebirth and I knew that I could help people by sharing what I found along the way. Soon enough, I remembered how much I looovveee to write. I had forgotten that simple pleasure. And once I got back into the swing of things, I didn't want to ever stop.
With the partial eclipse of the Capricorn Moon impending at the start of the year, I had the massive realisation that I did not just want to write randomly or without a concrete intention.
I wanted to help people get started on their own journey's too. I wanted to help people launch their own businesses and show them how EASY that can be - to leverage social media and the internet and spread their authentic message to the world. I realised that what I had to say (and my journey too) had tremendous value and that I needed to acknowledge that.
But, at the same time, I had and have my main job and career in SEO/Growth that I am equally passionate about. Working for my big sister and my biggest source of inspiration.
So - what's a girl to do right? ... I ripped off the bandaid and I laid it on the table - what I was feeling into with my intentions, the direction I felt things could go and that I continued to love and wanted to crush it with my main job.
The stars aligned and we figured out the perfect way forward - as of this week, I am officially going part-time to allow room for This Jessa Lewis to grow, whilst continuing in my main dream job.
How amazing is that?!?
Throughout all my years, I have always been a helper. My friends often confide in me and come to me for impartial advice - and I love giving it. I love finding solutions to problems and helping those around me elevate. In simple casual conversations, I have been helped some of my closest friends break through new entrepreneur barriers and launch their businesses in a MASSIVE way by taking advantage of what the internet has to offer.
I find it exciting ... Catch me at a party and start telling me you're a budding entrepreneur and I will be my ultimate groove. I think that is the ultimate sign that you should be doing something - when you get giddy talking about it. When you won't shut up and when you want to keep doing it in the late hours when your eyes just want to close.
So - this year, This Jessa Lewis is going global and gonna crush it - I am calling in guest blogging, speaking, clients, doing consulting and more. The possibilities feel endless and expanding.
I got passion behind me and I am coming out with guns blazing. Who's committed to doing the same this year?
